Route 1 (Saturdays)

Our experience begins with breakfast at the Merced market.

Montel Alban

Next we will visit "Monte Alban", one of the first cities in Mesoamerica, also known as "Dani Baá" or "Sacred Mountain", which was at the time the capital of the Zapotecas.

Oaxaca

We will delve into the cultural wealth touring the neighborhoods of central Oaxaca, passing by the "Plaza Sto. Domingo" and the church of our lady of "Soledad"

Santa María Atzompa, San Bartolo

We begin the journey to learn about the processes of green mud in Santa María Atzompa and black mud in San Bartolo

San Martin Tilcajete

We culminate this experience in San Martin Tilcajete, cradle of the Mexican artisans who make the highly prized alebrijes.

Start

Breakfast in the center of Oaxaca

Hierve el agua

Later we will undertake the trip to the petrified waterfalls of "Hierve el agua".

Mitla

We will enter Mitla, the second most important Zapoteca city in the region.

Tule

We will visit one of the longest-lived trees, located in the community of "Tule".

Santiago Matatlán

We will continue with our experience visiting the agave fields and trying the traditional "Barbacoa", to take the mezcal route, where you will learn about the process of making this ancient drink and you will be able to try different types of it.
